Background story

What do you dream of when you like single cylinder bikes and have ridden a Yamaha SR500 for years? You want more of the same! A pure single cylinder, but with more cc, more power, less weight, a really stable chassis, really good brakes, … But you can’t buy such a bike. Modern plastic bikes with lots of electronic gadgets are no alternative. So you begin to think about building one on your own. And there it is, your first custom bike project – the DR650 ST (Street Tracker).
